MORNING STAR

Is a program for young girls and boys, from pre-k to 8th grade where they participate in STEAM, reading, and team building activities. At weekly Saturday morning meetings, Morning Star provides participants with a safe environment that empowers and educates them to make wise decisions during their adolescence.

S.T.A.R

Student Training in Advocacy & Responsibility is an advocacy and leadership program that trains adolescent youth in college readiness. Through workshops, guest speakers, and field trips, STAR addresses the importance of education and empowers youth to become effective community leaders and agents of social change.

PARENT EDUCATION

Throughout the year, HACAN provides families with workshops, meetings, and training in the following areas:

· "Strengthening Families" and "Families Reunite" Program.

· Positive discipline, health, nutrition, and related subjects.

· "Speak Up Be Safe" workshops

· Community involvement: working together with other groups in the area to improve the quality of life in the community.
