Is a program for young girls and boys, ages 8 and older where they learn about STEM, reading, and team building activities. At weekly meetings, Morning Star provides participants with a safe environment that empowers and educates them to make wise decisions during their adolescence.
Rising first graders learn how to read using a specialized method emphasizing the role of vowels. Parents must be involved with the children in these classes.
Student Training in Advocacy & Responsibility is an advocacy and leadership program that trains adolescent youth in college readiness. Through workshops, guest speakers, and field trips, STAR addresses the importance of education and empowers youth to become effective community leaders and agents of social change.
Throughout the year, HACAN provides families with workshops, meetings, and training in the following areas:
Strengthening Families Program.
Positive discipline, health, nutrition, and related subjects.
Speak Up Be Safe workshops
Community involvement: working together with other groups in the area to improve the quality of life in the community.
